New Home Northallerton – Children’s Home Manager

Starling Recruitment are delighted to support a fantastic, established provider of children’s residential services recruit for a new Registered Manager. This will be to manage a brand new 2 bed home in North Yorkshire in the Northallerton area. This post has arisen due to company expansion and they are now looking for a dedicated Manager who wishes to create a nurturing home for children who have experienced trauma.

This company offer a therapeutic approach and are committed to providing positive experiences for their young people to support their individual interests. The home is set in a stunning rural location and is decorated to a high standard. They provide excellent in house therapeutic support for the children and staff.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an existing Registered Manager to put your own stamp on the home and ensure it runs to your high standards. The successful candidate will have full autonomy over the home and support from their internal teams as well from the involved and experienced senior management team, quality and compliance team and peer support. You will have the opportunity to recruit your own staff team.

Applications will be welcomed from experienced Deputy Managers who are looking to take on their first registration with relevant support and guidance to achieve fantastic results for the child in your care.

This is a growing company who will be looking to fill more senior positions as they expand.

Duties include:

  • Staff management
  • Building effective working relationships with other relevant professionals and families
  • Care planning
  • Responsibility for Ofsted requirements
  • Adherence and implementing company policy and procedure

You will have

  • Previous children’s residential management experience
  • NVQ 5 Leadership & Management
  • Desire to create a stable, happy and nurturing home
  • Central administration support
  • Understanding of the various therapeutic approaches to childcare
  • Detailed knowledge of Ofsted requirements

In return you will receive a salary and bonus of up to £50k depending on experience. This organisation prides itself on its supportive culture for staff and you will receive regular supervision and support from their senior management team.
