Area Manager Supported Living 16+

We’re delighted to support an established and well respected Supported Living provider recruit for an Area Manager to oversee 3 new supported living blocks of flats for young people aged 16 to 18.  They are all fully refurbished to a high standard and due to open in April 2024.

The company has a fantastic reputation for providing the highest levels of care to young people who are in supported living and creating and pride themselves on their supportive working culture. They have several supported living schemes across the North East for young people aged 16+ as well as supported living for ages 18+.  They are expanding on an ongoing basis. They aim wherever possible to promote from within and provide clear career progression so this is a great opportunity to develop for ambitious candidates. This organisations provide full training and support.

Duties include

  • Staff management of the 3 Deputy Managers based onsite
  • Building effective working relationships with other relevant professionals and families
  • Care planning
  • Full responsible for Ofsted regulation requirements
  • Adherence and implementing company policy and procedure

You will have

  • Previous management experience within any residential childcare setting
  • Ideally NVQ 5 or desire to work towards it
  • Desire to create a stable, happy and nurturing service
  • Previous experience of creating effective transition planning
  • Understanding of the requirements to support young people to independence
