Deputy Children’s Home Manager
Starling Recruitment are delighted to support a company with significant and well respected experience operating within the Children’s Residential sector to recruit for a Deputy Manager. This will be to create a nurturing home for up to 4 children who have experienced trauma.
This company offer a truly therapeutic approach and are committed to providing positive experiences for their young people to support their individual interests as well as psychological support. The home is beautiful and totally refurbished to a high standard. It’s set in a stunning rural location.
This company value and support their staff and you can expect protected hours of no more than 160 in any month as well as dedicated supervision from your Manager, peer support and help when you need it.
Duties include:
- Management of the Residential Childcare Team
- Ensuring paperwork is all complete and up to date
- Managing the home in the Registered Managers absence
- Building effective working relationships with all other relevant professionals, families and the young people
- Assisting with Ofsted requirements
- Adherence and implementing company policy and procedure
You will have
- Previous experience of managing residential childcare workers within a children’s home
- NVQ 3 Residential Childcare
- Ideally NVQ 5 or desire to work towards it
- Desire to create a stable, happy and nurturing home
- Understanding of the various therapeutic approaches to childcare
- Knowledge of ofsted requirements
