Head of Care – LD

Starling Recruitment are currently working with a leading Care Provider who are looking for a permanent, full time Head of Care and joint Registered Manager role for the West Northumberland area to support Adults and Young People with Learning Disabilities.

This is a lovely, rural setting with a variety of independent living bungalows and an onsite specialist school. They have all been refurbished to a high standard to care for up to 8 adults with Learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilise your Leadership and Management experience to deliver outstanding care and offering a range of personalised activities. The clients’ well being and happiness is always at the forefront.

Duties include:

  • Managing all aspects of the home to meet CQC requirements
  • Leading the multi-disciplinary staff team
  • Responsibility for budgets and reviewing fees
  • Liaising with other professionals including families, GPs and Local Authorities

You will have:

  • NVQ 5 Leadership & Management
  • Minimum of 4 years recent experience as a Registered Manager working with Adults with Learning Disabilities.
  • Knowledge of CQC legislation
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations for 16+ Supported Accommodation
